August 3, 2010Michele McLaughlin, "Project Sunway."  Sunbonnet Sue is one of the most beloved - and maligned- quilt patterns.  Michele has an extensive collection of patterns and quilts using Sue and will be relaying the history of the pattern.  If you have an old SBS quilt you would like to show for Show and Tell, please bring it along!

September 7, 2010 – One of our most exciting meetings of the season!  Pot luck dinner, challenge presentation, school supply donations (community service).  A great "kick off" for our 20th Anniversary year.  Fun and surprises for all!

September 25, 2010 - WORKSHOP with Carole Whaling, "Turning Twenty," 9am until 3pm at the Holy Spirit Church.  This exciting quilt requires 20 fat quarters divided between 10 light and 10 dark values.  It will be a perfect use of large scale prints.  See Carole's sample on our current Newsletter.  Other supplies required: sewing machine, extension cord, cutting mat, rotary cutter and ruler.

October 5, 2010 - Be creative in quilting by Elizabeth (Liz) Hawkins of LizzieBCre8ive.  LizzieBCre8tive is a wholesale pattern company created by two women who share a passion for quilting, and coincidentally, share the same name.  Liz resides in PA and love the conception and design of side of LizzieB.  Beth resides in AZ and is a quilter extraordinaire.  Together the ladies have found their niche in the quilting world and look for inspiration in the things they love and find comfort in (jazz music and umm, chocolate?).  Whimsical is their focus.  This is a meeting you won't want to miss!

November 6, 2010 - WORKSHOP - "Pagodas" .  .  .learn how to do marking free, pin free, template free curved piecing for.  Celebrate our 20th year in this great class from 9 to 3 at Holy Spirit Church.  You'll need just your machine, rotary cutter and a mat.  Each and every block is unique and you can take what you learn to make all sorts of fantastic curved blocks.

December 7, 2010 –"20 Questions" - Bill, from Allentown Sewing, "everything you want to know about sewing machines and what is new in the sewing world."

January 4, 2011 - Community Service and Carol Heppe, "Kutztown Folk Festival Quilt Auction Sale"

February 4, 2011 – "Trunk Show" by Debbie Heeps

March 1, 2011 -" Bobbinpalooza" by Michele Scott.  Michele is an award-winning quilt artist who specializes in teaching, lecturing, designing, and one-of-a-kind hand painted fabrics.  She recently developed a line of fabrics called Nature's Palette and you can find her original designs in McCall's Quilting or Quick Quilts magazines regularly.  She began quiltmaking in 1994 and specializes in machine work and embellishments.  Don't miss this exciting meeting!

March 2, 2011WORKSHOP with Michele Scott featuring "Bobbinpalooza" a hugely popular thread embellishment technique working with specialty threads from the bobbin.

May 3, 2011 - "All About Baskets" by Didi Salvatierra

May 4, 2011WORKSHOP with Didi Silvatierra featuring "Bodacious Baskets" is a two for one pieced basket block that is fun and funky.

June 7, 2011 - "Strata Various" by Barbara Persing.  Barbara has been sewing and quilting for more than 25 years.  Barbara is an experienced long-arm quilter and her approach is to "work for the quilt" marrying the quilting to the personality of the quilt.  She is also a partner in a pattern company, with her sister Mary, called "4th & 6th Designs."  This will be a very exciting evening.
