October 4, 2011 - Lisa Bongean* - "Primitive Gatherings" from Menasha, WI, Trunk Show. Lisa is a talented designer of quilt and wool applique patterns and, along with her husband Nick, owns the quilt shop "Primitive Gatherings Quilt Shop" in Menasha, WI. She has numerous quilt books in print and a fabric line with Moda called Little Gatherings and a line of Wool and Needle Flannels. In 2006 her shop was featured as one of "America's Top Ten Quiltshops" in the Better Homes and Gardens American Patchwork and Quilting Sampler magazine. The international magazine, Quiltmania, recently featured one of her patterns.
October 5, 2011 - Workshop - Lisa Bongean, "Working with Wool"
November 1, 2011- Sharon Yurkanin and Jacquie Atkins,PhD* - Allentown Art Museum of the Lehigh Valley's new fabric line. Sharon is an active member of our guild and the Museum Store Manager of the Allentown Art Museum of the Lehigh Valley.
Jacquie Atkins, PHD, is the Kate Fowler Merle-Smith Consulting Curator of Textiles at the Allentown Art Museum of the Lehigh Valley. She and Sharon were instrumental in the production of the new line of Red Rooster fabric based on the Japanese Katagami stencils in the museum's textile collection.

March 6, 2012 - Susan Ball Faeder* - "Japanese Traditional Textiles." Susan is an artist, teacher, designer and business woman. Her interest in Japan started in high school as she studied Japanese, became an exchange student in Japan and went on to receive her BA in Japanese Studies at Bucknell. She continued to study Japanese language and art and began quilting in 1983. Along with her five Japanese fabric collections, Susan runs yearly Quilting Express Tours to Japan where she teaches groups Japanese culture through the vehicle of quilts.
April 3, 2012 - Michele McLaughlin* - "Quilts in History." Michele is a member of our guild and is a founder of the Emmaus, PA Quilt Study Group. As well as being a very fine quilter, she collects old quilts and is especially interested in Sun Bonnet Sue quilts. Michele is very knowledgeable in dating quilts and will share her knowledge and love of quilts with us.
May 1, 2012 - Susan Cleveland* - "My Eclectic Quilt Pageant" - Susan is an award winning quilt designer, author and teacher who specializes in Piping Hot Bindings and Piping Hot Curves. In addition to her numerous quilting awards, in 2010 she was awarded the Professional Quilt Teacher of the Year by The International Association of Professional Quilters. She is the inventor of the Groovin' Piping Trimming Tool and Prairie Points Pressing tool. She and her award winning quilts were recently featured in the NQA newsletter.
May 2, 2012 - Workshop with Susan** - "Piping Hot Curves"
June 5, 2012 - Linda Warren* - "Fabric Selection for Dynamic Quilts" - Linda started quilting in 1999 and taught quilting for five years before starting her own business. Now she not only teaches classes but has published her own line of quilt patterns and specialty tools. She has now added lecturing and quilt trunk shows to her resume.

August 7, 2012 - Jeanette Kitlan* - "What to do with Charm Packs" - Jeanette is the owner of ENDLESS MOUNTAIN QUILTWORKS in Tunkhannock, PA and founder of the Airing of the Quilts in Tunkhannock. In 2007 her shop was featured as one of America's Top Ten Quilt Shops by QUILT SAMPLER MAGAZINE and BETTER HOMES and GARDENS. Jeanette has a BS in Clothing and Textiles from Penn State and has been a bridal consultant, assistant buyer for a children's clothing department, a teacher of fashion merchandising and created CHILDREN'S SEWING SCHOOL for ages 6-12. She turned from fashion to quilting in the 1980's and established her shop in 2001 and started the very successful AIRING OF THE QUILTS at that time.
