2010 Challenge
Crazy Quilters’ Quilt Guild

Jane Grove, Chairman

Did I say the 2010 Challenge was going to be exciting?  Sorry, I meant eggsciting, and that’s no yoke!

Attached you will find the outline of an egg in four different sizes.  Your completed quilt must have a minimum of one full egg
in one of these sizes.  There is no limit to the number of eggs you may use and you may use as many of the sizes as you wish.

You may appliqué your egg(s), fuse it/them, or trace around the shape with a pen.  If you decide to appliqué your egg
please remember to add seam allowance.

Eggs do not have to remain an “egg.”  There are many egg-shaped things you may change your egg(s) into.  I will be giving
some eggsamples in the next few newsletters.  In the meantime, I want you to eggcersize your thinking cap to see if you
can come up with an eggcellent way to make your egg(s) part of your quilt.

Take a deep breath, eggshale, and get ready to start on your eggstraordinary project.  Think outside the shell!

Remember, there will be prizes for your eggcellent effort.

     Nitty-gritty, eggsetera, eggsetera

*Finished quilts are to be turned in at the September meeting (not eggstendable) where they will be on eggshibit so they
can be eggsamined and voted-on by the members of the Guild.
*Because of space limitations for eggshibiting the quilts and not much room for eggspansion, please keep the maximum width to 48”
with an appropriate length.  There is no minimum size.  Quilted clothing is also eggsceptable.
*Quilts may be hand or machine pieced, hand or machine appliquéd, or whole cloth.
*Quilts must be quilted, either by hand or machine (for eggstra warmth).
*Preferred, but not required, a name for your quilt that has “egg .  .  .” in it.  Try the egg section of your dictionary.
*The chairman reserves the right to add to the rules as necessary.

Note:  The chairman nor the editor take any responsibility for the number of times you moan or groan.  So, get crackin’,
turn your sunny side up, and scramble your material for this fun project.
